Specimen No. 01 / Kolvex Labs, Web Design Studio

Est. 2026 / Thomasville, GA / Solo Practice

Designed and shipped by the same hand.

A solo practice. I design and build websites and web apps for businesses that want one done properly: custom, fast, and easy to run. When a project calls for AI, I build that too. One person, end to end.

Services / Web first

The work, plainly.

Web design and development

  • Marketing sites

Fast, hand-built marketing sites. Custom design, content modeled properly, a CMS you can actually run. No templates, no page-builder bloat.

  • Web products

Web apps and product interfaces: dashboards, tools, member areas. Designed and built by the person who ships them.

  • Brand and design systems

Reusable component kits and brand systems, so the next thing you build starts further along.

AI engineering

LLM apps, agents, copilots, and automation, built on Claude and OpenAI and wired into real systems with real data. Offered when a project genuinely calls for it, and proven in the lab.

Process / 04 Phases

How a project moves through the studio.

  1. Discovery

One working session. I get clear on the work before I propose anything. No discovery calls disguised as sales calls.

  2. Proposal

A short document for the project at hand. Scope, approach, timeline, and a price set by the work itself. No tiered packages, no rate cards, no good-better-best.

  3. Build

Weekly working sessions. Real software every week: running code, working prototypes, not slide decks.

  4. Launch

I ship to production with you. After that, a defined retainer if the relationship continues, a clean handover if it does not.

About / 01 Practitioner

One practitioner,
on purpose.

Kolvex Labs is a solo web design and development studio led by Mason, working remotely from Thomasville, Georgia. The studio also does AI engineering. It runs at this scale on purpose: the person who writes the proposal is the person who writes the code, and the person on the call is the person who ships the work.

Background spans web design and development, AI engineering, and business systems integration. The cross-section means model logic, design logic, and engineering logic read as one body of work, not as a handoff between three specialists. Clients across the United States, serviced remotely with regular working video sessions.

The person you call is the person who builds it.

FAQ / 05 Questions

Common questions, answered plainly.

  • How is a project priced?

Pricing is set per project. Every engagement starts with a short proposal: scope, approach, timeline, and a price determined by the work itself. Kolvex Labs does not publish rate cards, tiered packages, or starting-at numbers; the proposal arrives within a few business days of the first call.

  • How long does a typical project take?

Engagements vary by scope. A single-page marketing site or a focused web build can ship in 2 to 3 weeks. A multi-section site or a web app with real data plumbed in usually runs 6 to 10 weeks. Larger products and ongoing retainers are open-ended by design.

  • What is the difference between a Kolvex Labs site and a Squarespace or Wix template?

Templates ship quickly and cheaply, but they cap branding, performance, and what the site can become later. A custom Kolvex Labs build is shaped around the specific goals of the business, loads in under two seconds, and leaves complete control over SEO, performance, and future changes in the hands of the team that owns it.

  • Do you offer SEO and ongoing support after launch?

Yes. Every site ships SEO-ready: semantic HTML, fast Core Web Vitals, structured data, sitemaps, and meta tags written for real search behavior. Month-to-month retainers cover ongoing support and content updates without a long-term contract; engagements end cleanly when the work is done.

  • Where are you based? Do you work with clients outside the US?

Based in Thomasville, Georgia, working remotely with clients across the United States. Engagements run on video calls and shared working sessions; geographic location inside the US is not a constraint. Not currently taking clients outside the US.
